If you hear a metallic knocking of the stop lever:
7. Interrupt the test run.
The causes of metallic knocking may be:
– mass moment of inertia of the moveable mass is too high
– swivel speed of the moveable mass is too high
– no compressed air cushion on the exhaust side.
8. Find a remedy for the above-mentioned causes.
9. Repeat the test run.
When all necessary adjustments have been carried out:

Make fine adjustments to the stops of the end positions depending on the type
of stop.
Fine adjustments can also be made to the stops when they are under pressure.
Dynamic fine adjustment of a stop
without
a shock absorber:
1. Pull the protective cap, if fitted, off the housing.
2. Loosen the locking nut (K) of the adjusting
screw.
The deviation of the end position can be
compensated for with the adjusting screw

. You can do this during the pre-adjust-
ment by moving the stop against the stop
lever without pressure.
3. Unscrew the adjusting screw a little out of
the stop.
4. When all the stops have been finely adjusted: tighten the locking nuts of the
adjusting screws again.
5. If a protective cap is fitted on the DSMI-... , press it back onto the snap ring.
6. Repeat the test run.
7. If necessary, repeat points 1 to 5.
