5.1 Cleaning/replacing the large surface−mounted silencer
Caution
Dirt in the large surface−mounted silencer can cause an
increase in pressure in the exhaust channel.
·
Clean the silencer if it is yellow/black or a dark colour or
replace it by a new one.
In this way you can ensure that the large surface−mounted
silencer functions correctly and that the valves operate
correctly.
Proceed as follows:
1. Loosen and remove the screws in the fastening frame.
2. Remove the silencer from the end plate.
3. Replace the silencer or clean it in benzine or petroleum.
Do not use TRI for cleaning.
4. Place the cleaned or the new silencer and the fastening
frame on the end plate.
5. Fasten the silencer only with the original screws (see
table).
