DOWN shifts with the accelerator
pedal released will have a braking effect
bordering on skidding of the driving
wheels on dry asphalt.
Under racing-style driving conditions
with gearshifts at high engine speed
rates, double-clutching when up-shifting
is performed automatically.
CAUTION
It is recommended not to select
“SPORT”
mode on roads with low-
or medium-grip conditions (e.g., ice,
snow, or wet roads) as the driving
wheels could skid during gearshifting.
Therefore, racing-style driving is
advisable only on race tracks.
It is advisable to deactivate the other
(“LOW GRIP” and “AUTO”) operating
modes before selecting “
SPORT”
mode.
In the event that the control lever
cluster is malfunctioning, in addition
to activating the buzzer and turning on
the failure warning light
B , the system
auto-selects the “AUTO” mode and any
further gearshift requests will be ignored,
including
N and reverse.
If the malfunction persists, contact
the
Ferrari Service Network as soon
as possible to have the malfunction
corrected.
PUSH START (“F1” gearbox)
In the event that the ignition system
malfunctions, you can “push start” the
vehicle as follows:
• perform the “System starting”
procedure;
• request an UP shift while the vehicle
is picking up speed with the gearshift
lever in
N .
In any case, this procedure should be
avoided unless there is an emergency
situation!
