CAUTION
A
DOWNshift request from 6
th
to 5th gear will be accepted only if
the engine speed, with the 5
th
gear
engaged, is less than 3200 RPM.
As the “LOW GRIP” mode can be
activated at any time and the system
limits the engine speed rate to 3200
RPM in all gears except for the
6
th
,
unrequested UPshifts could take
place.
In any event, it is advisable to disable any
other operating modes (“AUTO” and
“
SPORT” ) before selecting “LOW GRIP”
mode.
“Automatic gearshift” mode
This mode is activated (or deactivated)
pressing the
AUTO button. The word
auto will light up on the gear display, on
the instrument panel, and the system
will automatically shift the gears
UP and
DOWN according to the vehicle speed,
the engine RPM and the torque/power
requested by the driver.
The “automatic gearshift” mode has
priority over the “
SPORT” mode .
Therefore, if the AUTO button is pressed
when the vehicle is in “ SPORT” mode,
even if the “ SPORT” warning light
remains on, the word d auto lights upand
the system will operate in “Automatic
gearshift” mode, keeping the suspension
set to “
SPORT”.
