5.2 Commercial storage of batteries
Store in well-ventilated rooms (well below 30°C (86°F))
Do not store near flammable liquids
Protect from moisture and water
Install smoke detectors
Possibly upgrade to more comprehensive building insurance
Register business insurance: Storage of e-bike and lithium-ion batteries >100 Wh

Check the state of charge regularly
No battery should be used in the e-bike in your store window. The constant solar radiation
shortens the life of the batteries.
5.3 Handling faulty batteries
PLEASE NOTE
Do not attempt to repair!
Battery no longer charging
Never open the battery!
Do not use a damaged battery!
Store battery in designated safety box until proper collection & disposal.
Never transport damaged batteries in traffic yourself or hand them over to a forwarder. Instead,
contact a local waste disposal company.
If a battery is burning or smoking:
• Do not breathe in the fumes!
• Place the battery in a fire-proof, metal crate filled with sand, store in an open, dry place, and
cover the battery with sand.
• Report to the fire department!
