rim (B).
- Command disc penetration by pressing push-button (26).
- Start wheel rotation (pedal 15) and at the same time raise the disc by tapping on (control 23). Rotate
until the tyre is completely demounted.
11a • Lower bead demounting
- It might be necessary to use the upper bead breaking arm with the bead breaking disc rotated
by 180° for rims with an internal drop centre (reverse rims-see “Practical hints, advice and useful
information” on page 26). In this case the quick demounting procedure (paragraph 11) must be
applied.
12 • Demounting complete
- Once demounting is finished, return the lower arm totally downwards (control 23), unlock the bead
breaking unit using button 27, tilt the column (pedal 13) and, at the end, remove the tyre.
NB: in this configuration the machine is ready to handle a series of wheels featuring a similar size.
IMPORTANT: remember that if the type of tyre is changed, the horizontal and vertical arms
must be unlocked before starting any other demounting operation.
TYRE MOUNTING
Instructions for choosing a tyre
To make full use of all the characteristics of a tyre and have safety in use guaranteed, a series of
precautions must be taken when choosing and fitting tyres.
The tyre sizes, construction and service characteristics are provided by the markings on its sidewall.
Once the appropriate tyre has been chosen from those approved for use on the vehicle, the mounting
procedure can begin.
CAUTION
When mounting a new tyre, replace the inner tube in tube type tyres and the valve in tubeless
types.
CAUTION
Always check that the tyre/rim combination is correct in terms of compatibility (tubeless tyre on
tubeless rim; tube type tyre on tube type rim) and geometrical size (keying diameter, cross-section
width, Off-Set and shoulder profile) before mounting.
