activity. This independent withdrawal movement could be performed manually using the control
lever or pneumatically by means of an on-purpose control button.
NOTE : While the lower arm remains at the correct bead breaking position, the upper one is equipped
with a patented pneumo-mechanical memory of the original bead breaking position (allowing to
perform in series the bead breaking activity on wheels having the same diameter).
10 • Lower bead demounting (fig. 23)(Using tool-carrying head)
- Place the tool on the edge of the rim (A).
- Push the bead breaker disc against the bottom bead (B) using control 23.
- Using control 28, operate the hook engaging the bottom bead of the tyre (C-D).
- Check that the tool is correctly coupled with the tyre bead.
- Using the control valve 23, lift the lower tyre bead till the upper edge height of the rim.
- Operate on the control 28 to get the machine ready for the subsequent demounting operation
(performed with the wheel at a standstill and not in rotation - D).
- Operate pedal 15 to rotate the wheel until the tyre is completely demounted from the rim (E).
11 • Lower bead demounting without using the lever-less head (fig. 24) (Quick system)
- Press the pedal 13 to return the vertical post in its rest position (arm laterally tilted).
- Operate control 23 and raise the bottom bead of the tyre (A) until it is level with the top bead of the
