Connecting To Tractor
Always inspect the tractor’s drawbar and equipment
hitch before connecting. See the tractor’s owner’s
manual.
Verify that the tractor’s drawbar is adjusted
correctly for use with the equipment.
Enter the operator’s position and move the tractor
into position in front of the equipment.
Move the tractor backwards, aligning the drawbar
with the equipment hitch.
Leave the operator’s position.

Turn the jack handle (Item 1) to raise or lower the
equipment hitch. Align the tractor and equipment
hitch pin holes. Remove any attached hitch pins
[Figure 35] .
Enter the Operator’s Position. Move the tractor
backwards, aligning the drawbar hitch pin hole
with the equipment hitch pin hole (Item 2). Stop
the tractor and leave the Operator’s Position
[Figure 35] .
Install the hitch pin and retaining pin to securely
fasten the equipment hitch to the tractor drawbar
[Figure 35] .
Attach the safety chain (Item 3) [Figure 35] .
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Before moving the tractor, look in all directions and
make sure no bystanders, especially small children
are in the work area.
Do not allow anyone between the tractor and the
equipment when backing up to the equipment for
connecting.
Keep fingers and hands out of pinch points when
connecting and disconnecting equipment.

Remove the jack pin and retaining pin from the
support jack (Item 1). Turn the handle and raise the
jack support stand (Item 2) off the ground
[Figure
36] .
Move the jack to the storage position (Item 3) on
the frame and reinstall jack pin and retaining pin
[Figure 36] .
