On the ‘Settings’ screen in the lower right area, verify that the box for ‘Validation with
synthetic tubes’ is unchecked and that ‘Indexing’ is checked.
Note: If the ‘6x1 Norm On/Off is
checked, leave it as found.
Note: For ‘Validation with synthetic tubes’, the ‘Validation with synthetic tubes’ box must be
checked.
Go to the ‘Validation’ screen by pressing the ‘Validation’ tab on the lower tool bar. Carefully
remove the ‘NIST Traceable Reference Tube’ from the stainless steel tube.
Insert the ‘NIST Traceable Reference Tube’ by pressing the ‘Insert/Eject Tube’ icon on the
upper tool bar. Once the shutter is open, carefully insert the tube until the tube has begun to
be pulled into the unit.
