9. Remove the ear assemblies.
10. Install the replacement switch in the rack.
11. Reattach the ear assemblies if necessary.
12. Slide the switch back into the rack.
13. Attach all cables, including the power cables.
14. Connect to the console port (on the back of the switch).
15. Power on by pressing the power button to the 1 position. (The power
button is located to the right of the power supplies.)
16. Complete the switch replacement option of the Switch
Configuration Wizard. When prompted, enter the UUID and private
subnet information collected in step 1. For an example, see
Preparing for Switch Replacement, on page 3-6
.
Failure to perform the switch replacement option will require
that you rebuild the cluster.
17. Reboot the switch.
18. Replace the running configuration.
19. Unless the switch is running standalone, ensure that it pairs with the
active peer. To confirm, issue the
show redundancy
command.
