Section 8 – Remote Operation
8-38
Vector Summation
Command
:CALCulate:VSUMmation?
Returns the latest vector summation value and angle results from the
flux density readings of all three channels.
The value will be between 0.0000000000 and
±
29999999. The
meaning of this value depends upon the selected unit of measure
(gauss, tesla, etc.). For instance the value 1.0203 could mean 1.0203 G
or 1.0203 T. This value is followed by a comma(,).
The vector angles for Channel 1, 2, and 3, respectively, separated by
commas(,). The meaning of this values depends upon the selected unit
of measure (degrees or radians).
For example, a response of 123.366, 49.2,18.1,112.7 might mean that
the vector summation is 123.366 mT and the vector angles for Channel-
1, 2 and 3 are 49.2 degrees, 18.1 degrees and 112.7 degrees,
respectively.
Hold Commands
These commands set and query the state of the instrument’s hold features.
Since these commands are channel-specific the “#” in each command
should be replaced with the channel number 1, 2, or 3. If the channel
number is omitted then Channel-1 is assumed. A channel number (#) of
“4” affects the hold functions for vector summation.
Note: The Vector Sum hold functions do no include Peak or Valley
detection. The use of # = 4 in these commands is not supported.
:CALCulate#:HOLD:MINimum:STATe <b>
The MIN HOLD function is turned on when <b> is “1” or “ON”, or turned off
when <b> is “0“ or “OFF”.
:CALCulate#:HOLD:MINimum:STATe?
Returns the state of the MIN HOLD function “OFF” or “ON”.
:CALCulate#:HOLD:MINimum:CLEar
The value being held by the MIN HOLD function is reset to 0.
:CALCulate#:HOLD:MINimum?
Returns the value being held by the MIN HOLD function, the value and will
be between 0.0000000000 and
±
29999999. The meaning of this value
depends upon the selected unit of measure (gauss, tesla, etc.). For
instance the value 1.0203 could mean 1.0203 G or 1.0203 T.
:CALCulate#:HOLD:MAXimum:STATe <b>
The MAX HOLD function is turned on when <b> is “1” or “ON”, or turned off
when <b> is “0“ or “OFF”.
