Communication Settings
— This panel contains the current TCP/IP and RS-232
connection settings. It also has an
Edit
button that lets you access the IP settings for
editing. The RS-232 settings are view-only and cannot be changed.
Editing the TCP/IP settings

In the
Communication
Settings
panel (see
B
, on the previous page)
click the
Edit
button. The following dialog box opens:

Enter the desired settings in the
IP
Address
,
Subnet
Mask
, and
Default
Gateway
fields (see figure 41,

). The
Use
DHCP
checkbox must be cleared for
you to edit these fields.
Alternatively, select the
Use
DHCP
checkbox (

) to have the unit obtain its IP
address from a DHCP server.
If you want to reset all IP settings to their factory defaults, click
Reset
to
Default
, then click
Reset
on the confirmation prompt that opens.

Apply
to confirm the settings and close the dialog box.
