Lifting aid
11.8 Effi ciency/service life curve for the batteries
The average service life of the batteries depends mainly on the way
they are used:
●
Number of lifting/lowering operations
●
Temperature variations
●
Mechanical vibrations
●
Total discharge (operating periods too long, insuf
fi
cient charging time)
The number of possible charging cycles also depends on how far
the batteries are discharged.
●
50% discharge – max. 750 charging cycles
●
80% discharge – max. 250 charging cycles
Recommendation:
Charge the batteries daily at the end of the shift.
Interim charging results in a longer service life.
NOTE!
i
i
Recharging should be done on a daily basis,
because higher discharge rates also reduce the
number of possible charging cycles.
CAUTION!
Long periods of non-use can lead to a total discharge,
which will damage the batteries.
Damaged batteries exhibit reduced power and
can no longer hold a full charge or can possibly
not be charged at all.
