Outboard Emergency Stop System and Safety
What could happen?
The emergency system
begins here at the clip
and lanyard...
...and ends here in the ignition
system on the powerhead.
What is most important?

The emergency stop system must
STOP
the engine when the clip is removed or the lanyard pulled
from the emergency stop / key switch.
If switch fails...
If lanyard is caught...
...engine will keep running.
