6.3.
USER ADJUSTMENTS AND DIAGNOSTICS
6.3.1. Front Panel Diagnostics
A 16 digit alphanumeric display and a 16 button keypad are contained on a separate circuit card
(5220) which is connected to the main circuit board via a 20 conductor ribbon cable.
LED and Keyboard diagnostics can be invoked by holding down any key except
Ð
or
Ï
on power up.
In diagnostic mode, all the front panel LED’s should come on and the front panel display will show the
message SCAN CODE and the keyboard scan code. When no keys are depressed, the key scan
code is ____. Pressing a key will show the corresponding key scan codes, as shown in Figure 6-2
below. To exit the LED/keyboard test, remove and re-apply power to the unit.
