Setting the time
1. Push the
Prog
button on the control panel. The display will
light up and
CLOCK
will appear on the top right.
2. Set the hours (24-h mode) with the
HR
button and the min-
utes with the
MIN
button. Push the respective button until
the desired time is displayed. Hold the buttons down to
quickly scan through the numbers.
If there is no button activity for a few seconds, the programming mode will close and the
display light will go out.
Brewing coffee with freshly ground beans
1. Push the release button and
fl
ip the cover up.
2. Fill the water tank with water. The water level indicator indicates how many cups of
water are in the water tank. The amount of water must be between the lowest mark
and the
MAX
mark.
3. Flip the permanent
fi
lter lid up and put coffee beans in the
permanent
fi
lter. It holds approx. 60 g of coffee beans. Do
not over
fi
ll the
fi
lter! Flip the permanent
fi
lter lid back into
a closed position.
4. Flip the lid into the closed position. It must lock into place in order for the device to be
operated. If it cannot be closed, the coffee compartment or the permanent
fi
lter may
not be correctly inserted in the device or the permanent
fi
lter lid is not properly closed.
5. Place the glass pot with the lid closed on the heating plate.
6. Push the button 1 x and the beans will be ground for
approx. 30 seconds. The brewing process will then start
automatically. It ends once the water tank is empty. A cup
symbol will appear on the display during the brewing pro-
cess.
7. If no more water comes out of the spout, you can take the glass pot off of the heating
plate and serve the coffee.
The heating plate will continue to be heated for approx. 30 minutes after the brewing
process is complete and then will switch off automatically.
• To abort the grinding or brewing process prematurely, push the
button 2x. Then
the display light will go out. (Pushing the
button just 1x will access the timer mode
(see section “Timer function”).)
8. After use, clean the device as described in the chapter “Cleaning and decalcifying”.
Brewing coffee with coffee powder
1. Push the release button and
