Safety notes
■
Risk of injury associated with the device!
This device must
not be used by children. The device and its connection line must
be kept away from children. The mains cord must also not be
accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.
■
This device may be used by persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and/or knowl-
edge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to
use the device
safely and have understood risks arising from
using the device.
■
Children must not play with the device.
■
If the device is not supervised, before assembling, disassem-
bling or cleaning the device, it must always be disconnected
from the power supply.
■
Warning of hot surfaces!
Parts of the device like the glass pot,
heating plate or permanent
fi
lter get hot during operation.
When
the device is in operation or shortly afterwards, avoid any
contact with the hot parts.
Only take hold of the hot glass pot
by the handle.
■
Never exceed the maximum
fi
ll level (observe the
MAX
mark on
the water level indicator!). Over
fi
lling the water tank could cause
the glass pot to over
fl
ow.
■
If the device, the connection line or the device plug is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service or
by a similarly quali
fi
ed person (e.g. quali
fi
ed workshop) to avoid
any risks.
■
The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer
or a separate telecontrol system.
Risks of injury
■
Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
injury and suffocation!
■
Scalding hazard! Hot steam is produced when in use. Therefore, do not open the
cover when in use.
■
Scalding hazard! When in use, keep your face, head and hands away from the cover.
Hot steam escapes from the water tank.
■
The freshly brewed coffee is hot; be careful when handling hot liquids.
■
Do not add any water to the coffee maker once it has been turned on. You could scald
yourself – in the worst case – due to the sudden emission of steam.
