Description
The CM2ND is a secondary controller for use on networked IRC-
3/FCC systems. CM2ND controllers contain all the circuitry, memory,
instructions, and controls to communicate with the master network
controller. The CM2ND incorporates a two line, 40 character alpha-
numeric LCD display, LED status indicators and panel control
switches. The LCD display on the CM2ND/RM rack mount version is
backlit. The CM2ND mounts in a standard module space. The
CM2ND/RM installs in an RMOF chassis which mounts in a CAB 17,
31, or 45 enclosure.

Model CM2ND
The CM2ND is capable of stand alone operation in the event of loss of
communication with the master network controller. Regenerative
firmware permits multiple CM2NDs to communicate and function with
other secondary controllers in the event of master network controller
failure, as long as the physical RS-485 circuit remains intact between
secondary controllers. Regenerative operation is not available with 20
mA or fiber optic serial communication formats.
The CM2ND-L is a limited address control module. The CM2ND-L
only allows 12 addresses for control modules. The additional addresses
are available for annunciators.
