NOTES ON SCANNING THE PRINT RESULT ON THE RECEIPT
To determine whether the ability of the reader (scanner) can be satisfied by using bar codes, 2-dimensional
symbols, or characters printed on receipt (roll paper), take the following points into consideration.
1)
Print density
The print density may vary depending on the type of roll paper or the environmental conditions.
2)
Slant of the Print
The printed bar code or characters may not be horizontal to the paper as shown in the figure below.
They may slant in the range of ± 1.6
°
and the slanting direction or the angle varies during printing or each
time a receipt is issued.

Note: If paper other than the ones described in Section 1.6, Paper Specifications, is used or if the paper is used out
of the range described in Section 1.13, Environmental Conditions, the print density may vary or the slant of
print result may become wider.
