Installing Options

6. Reconnect the interface cable and power cord, then turn the printer on.

7. To confirm that the option is installed correctly, print a Status Sheet. See “Printing a Status 

Sheet” on page 93.

Note:

If you are using Windows, and EPSON Status Monitor is not installed, you have to make settings 
manually in the printer driver. Click the 

Update the Printer Option Info Manually

 button on the 

Optional Settings tab, then click 

Settings

. Then select 

550-Sheet Paper Cassette Unit

 or 

550-Sheet Paper Cassette Unit x 2

 from the Optional Paper Sources list on the Optional Settings

Removing the optional paper cassette unit

Perform the installation procedure in reverse.

Duplex Unit

For specifications or details about the paper types and sizes that you can use with the Duplex Unit,

Installing the Duplex Unit

1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord and interface cable.
