Record a channel via the Admin panel
You can choose to create AVI, MP4, MOV or MPEG-TS recordings. See
Configure recording file size and type
to
learn how to change the recorded file type. (Note there are two supported MP4 types, regular MP4 which is a
progressive file format, and MP4-fragmented which is a more modern, fragmented format that isn't
supported by all video players or editors.)
The MOV file type created by VGADVI Recorder Pro requires a relatively newer player for playback. Epiphan
has tested with the following players.

Record a channel via the Admin panel
Each channel has a configuration page that allows you to start, stop and configure recordings.
To start and stop channel recording:
1. Login to the Admin panel as
admin
or
operator
2. Click the name of the desired channel; the channel menu expands.
