The icon for the fuel type will blink on this screen, indicating that you are
to select the unit type by pressing the up and down buttons. Pressing enter will
select the units and then move on to entering the price of fuel.
3.3.3 Price of auxiliary fuel
After selecting the auxiliary fuel
and its unit, the Thermal Energy
Controller will ask for the price of fuel.
This is used to determine how much
money is being saved based on the fuel
displaced by solar. The best way to
obtain the household’s final price of fuel
is to take the monthly bill’s total
(includes taxes, delivery, and other
charges) and divide by the usage for
that month.
Figure 3.3.3 is an example for electricity (14.3 ¢/kWh). To get your local
