(e)
Using an AC volt meter, measure the AC voltage between the V-bus (i.e. Common bus of
the O.T. switches) and AC Neutral. Refer to Figure 1002 (Multi Test Box) for connection
reference.
(f)
Any voltage greater than 10 Volts shall constitute a failure.
(g)
Manually close the C.B. on the Multi Test Box (refer to Table 1001).
(h)
Make sure that the C.B. does NOT open.
(7)
Adjust the water pressure from 24 to 29 psig (165 kPag to 200 kPag) and connect the water
supply to the Water Boiler. Water supply temperature must be between 62 °F to 72 °F
(17 °C to 22 °C).
(8)
Make sure the Water Boiler tank fills and does not leak.
NOTE:
A small amount of water may come out of the vent valve drain line as the tank
completes filling. This is normal operation.
(9)
When the water tank is full, open the faucet fully and adjust the water supply to the full facility
pressure.
NOTE:
Verify the circuit breaker on the side of the Multi Test Box is in the open (pulled out) position prior
to starting the Over Temperature Test.
E. Over Temperature and Heater Current Test
WARNING:
THE OVER TEMPERATURE TEST CAN PRODUCE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR
COMPONENTS AND THE RELEASE OF STEAM. DO NOT USE THE HOT WATER
FAUCET DURING THIS TEST. SEVERE BURNS MAY RESULT.
(1)
Turn the UUT power ON.
(2)
With the temperature switch set at 205 °F. Check that the O.T. Safety Relay Switch DID NOT trip.
