Adapters
The sensor can also be mounted in a pipe with a larger nominal diameter when
suitable adapters (reducers and expanders) to DIN 28545 are fitted.
The resultant increase in the rate of flow increases the accuracy of measurement
with slowly moving fluids.
The adjacent nomogram can be used to
determine the pressure loss caused.
Procedure:
1. Determine the ratio of the
diameter d/D.
2. From the nomogram read off the
pressure loss at the flow velocity and
d/D ratio.
Note!
The nomogram applies to fluids with a
viscosity similar to that of water.
