b.
Time-paced sampling
A constant sampling volume (e.g. 50 ml) is taken at
steady intervals (e.g. every 5 min).
c.
Flow-paced sampling
A constant sampling volume is taken at variable
intervals (depending on the inflow volume).
d.
Time/flow-paced sampling
A variable sampling volume (the sampling volume
depends on the inflow) is taken at steady time
intervals (e.g. every 10 min).
e.
Event-controlled sampling
Sampling is triggered by an event (e.g. pH limit
value). Sampling can be time-paced, flow-paced, or
time/flow-paced, or single samples can be taken.
