4.2.3.4 Step 4: Flight/scanning
Always maintain visual line of sight to the Zoe.
During the flight, monitor the drone battery level in the Hovermap App and on the drone status
LED.
Try to ensure loop closure as much as possible. Best results are achieved by “closing the loop” for
each scan.
At the completion of the flight, fly Zoe to a safe landing position or return to home. To do this,
press the return to home icon. Zoe may pause for a short period (around 10 seconds), before
return to home begins.
4.2.3.5 Step 5: Landing
Hold the left stick on the controller down for 3 seconds until the motors stop.
4.2.3.6 Step 6: Downloading the data
When you have finished scanning, or the motors are off, press
Stop
in the app to end the scan.
After the LiDAR sensor has stopped rotating, insert a USB flash drive into either of the two USB
ports to download the scan data.
When the transfer is complete, the status LED will switch to a slow pulsing blue. When this
happens, remove the USB flash drive.
Warning
Never stop the scan during flight. Maintain visual line of sight to the aircraft.
Note
The status LED will change to flashing light blue while the data is transferring to
the USB flash drive. All data captured since the last transfer will be copied to the
USB drive.
