You should either bring the system home in Pilot Assist mode (recommended), or guide it home using
waypoints in Waypoint UI. If neither of these methods is viable, you can use the return to home
function. If the system is operating beyond Wi-Fi range in Autonomous Waypoint mode, it will execute
an automatic return to home. It is recommended that you abort this return to home if possible. If
possible, you should abort the return to home and fly the drone home yourself. You can double-toggle
the flight mode switch to use Pilot Assist mode for the remainder of the flight.
After a LiDAR Error failsafe has occurred, the Hovermap App will display a warning, and will prevent you
from starting any new autonomous operations. Even if the system is power cycled, the LiDAR error
lockout will remain.

In the event of a LiDAR error, please contact Customer Success

to verify the functionality of your
system. We will need to collect your tablet and flight logs, as well as the scan data from the flight when
the LiDAR error occurred. From the supplied data, we will be able to confirm whether the system is safe
for continued flights and autonomous operations. We will progress the investigation of your dataset
quickly to ensure that your Hovermap is ready to scan again in the shortest possible time.
Warning
After a LiDAR error, return to home may be inaccurate, and the drone may not
return to the correct home position. You should use Pilot Assist mode to bring the
drone home safely.

