The deviation from straight line (DSL) error is the maximum error (in mils) in the sensor
gap reading at a given voltage compared to a 7.87 mV (8.0 mV) per micrometer best fit
straight line. DSL errors are associated with errors in axial position or sensor gap readings.
The incremental scale factor (ISF) error is the maximum amount the scale factor varies
from 7.87 mV (8.0 mV) per micrometer when measured at specified increments
throughout the linear range. Measurements are taken at 250 µm increments. ISF error is
associated with errors in radial vibration readings.
Basis of the data are measurements with:
•
EZ 1000 and EZ 190x at temperature of EZ 1000.
