5.3.5 Assembling expansion modules in the MP500/4N - MP500/8 control panels
IMPORTANT!
The connection and disconnection of the optionals and accessories must always be done while the control
panel is disconnected from all power supplies (both mains and battery).

Inside the MP500/4N control panel, 3 EP508 expansions (positions
A
,
C
and
D
) or 2 EP508 expansions and 1 radio expansion can be
assembled.
Inside the MP500/8 control panel, 4 EP508 expansions (positions
A
,
B
,
C
and
D
) or 3 EP508 expansions and 1 radio expansion can be
assembled.
The position
D
calls for the assembly of the board in the raised position and turned 90°, inserting the board into slot on the right and
fastening it with 2 self-tapping screws onto the two supports on the left; the programming (PROG) key must be between the left-hand
support if an EP508 is installed, or on the bottom right of a radio expansion is installed.
The expansions must be fastened with the self-tapping screws supplied.
The positions
A
and
B
can be accessed by releasing and turning the mother board (
Figure 18 - Releasing the mother board
). If the
GSM module is used, it is not possible to use position
B
.
Position
A
is dedicated to the IT500WEB interface, but in its place an EP508 board can be installed.
