14. FAST-START-MODE
14 FAST START MODE

The fast-start mode allows to perform tests of one type of test more effec-
tive / faster. For this purpose, taught in the first test of the operating point
(taught). The device uses the determined operating for all subsequent
tests, until is taught again.
If the user changes the type of test (eg HV to ISO), the device must be
taught again.
The fast-start-mode affects test types across, ie HV, ISO and PE. Types
of test such as HV and ISO need in this mode only one START.
An activation of the fast start mode is possible via the menu system (setup
- chapter 10.6) or by the remote control command. See also diagrams in
chapter 4.
Requirements for use of the Fast-Start Mode:
- Only one type of test - either HV or ISO or PE.
- The same test parameters of the test object (eg use in routine
tests in systems with short cycle times).
- Teaching of the operating point (test parameters) on the first test.
- Settling the default parameters for test voltage / test current (in
the menu system or via the command set).
Restrictions on fast-start mode
- No execution of test plans possible.
- Maximum test time is 9.9 seconds
- Only one command to start the test.
- For the PE test a PE test probe can not be used.
- Duration for the first test (Teach) is equal to a test without fast-
start mode.
- Display of the total duration for the fast-mode testing (test time +
stabilisation time). The test time is running in the background.
