This command adds a syslog server host IP address that will receive
logging messages. Use the
no
form to remove a syslog server host.

Use this command more than once to build up a list of host IP
addresses.

The maximum number of host IP addresses allowed is five.

This command controls logging of error messages, sending debug or error
messages to a logging process. The

form disables the logging process.

The logging process controls error messages saved to switch memory or
sent to remote syslog servers. You can use the
logging history
command to
control the type of error messages that are stored in memory. You can use
the
logging trap
command to control the type of error messages that are
sent to specified syslog servers.
