Set the metering capacity of the pump (mechanical)
Fig. 14: Mechanical stroke length setting
The metering capacity is adjustable by means of mechanical stroke length setting
between 100% and 30% of the pump's rated capacity.
Reproducible accuracy can no longer be guaranteed below 30%.
The adjustment is made via the stroke adjusting button and can only be performed while
the metering pump is in operation.
Alignment of the mechanical stroke adjustment
The metering pump is set in the factory at rated pressures, in accordance with the
metering curves. If the actual metering quantity does not match the value displayed on the
scale (for instance, after unplugging the adjusting button and then reinserting it after a
delay), the basic setting can be configured as follows:
1.
Switch on the metering pump by pressing the
[START/STOP]
button for at least
2 seconds.
2.
Set the adjusting button to 100% and, with the pump running, turn it clockwise until
the adjusting screw discernibly tightens.
3.
If no resistance is achieved, disengage the button at setting "0" and repeat step 2.
4.
Disengage the setting button, connect the adjusting notch and marking at setting "0"
on the scale again and set the required metering capacity.
NOTICE!
The metering rate is to be preset to enable a concentration of 100 ppm to
be delivered. If the metering rate setting is changed and/or if a chemical
other than ST-DOS T-300 is used, this will invalidate the DVGW certification
for this device.
