INTRODUCTION

EPX PRO
(EPX400-A20CU) is
a communicator in the dedicated casing. The device is
complete communication platform for data transfer from control panels to Monitoring
Station remotely. The communicator can be directly connected to any alarm control
panel which has a PSTN line with DTMF decoding. Thanks to PSTN line all data from
control panel can be transmitted in real time to Monitoring Station through Ethernet
or cellular network LTE/HSPA+.
The communicator of the EPX PRO (EPX400-A20CU) version is offered in the
dedicated casing. The casing is equipped with device status indicators and it has
openings for cable routing to the outside. It could be installed in 2 different ways -
using neodymium magnets for quick installation of the casing on metal surfaces or
using screws and pins.
An advanced encoding methods like a 256 bits encoding key and AES (Advanced
Encryption Standard) provides for security of data transmission. As a result reception
of this transmission is possible with OSM.Server monitoring receiver system.
Programming of receiver is possible:

Locally:
- with computer and EBS Config 2.0 pogram,
- with computer and web browser via Ethernet connection.
o
Remotely :
- via UMTS/LTE connection,
- via SMS commands.
Additionally, the communicators EPX PRO (EPX400-A20CU) enabling remote
configuration of control panels using ModemEmu application and remote managing of
arming using EBS Security application.
Remote configuration of the control panel by Ethernet or cellular using EPX PRO is
still performed using control’s panel configuration application supplied by control
panel manufacturer. Instead of connecting PSTN modem to it, ModemEMU
application supplied by EBS is used which translates modem communication format
to LTE/HSPA+ transmission with EPX PRO (EPX400-A20CU) communicator. It is
possible to make remote downloading session with any control panel equipped with
Bell103/V.21 modem (to be sure write to our Technical Support Department to
obtain information on which control panels have been tested).
