Network parameters
8.9.1.1.
In this section, define IP address settings. By default, it is set as DHCP (Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol) but it is possible to change it to static IP (additional
fields will be shown after selecting this option).
DHCP
is a protocol which dynamically assigns an IP address to each computer,
complete with TCP/IP configuration parameters: default gateway, subnet mask and
DNS servers’ addresses. With a
static
IP, the installation technician must complete
the following fields:
Address
IP address for the LAN you want the device to work with.
Mask
IP address mask, default: 255.255.255.0.
Gate
IP address of the computer in local network which mediates in connection with
communication server.
DNS1, DNS2
Identifies DNS addresses (the domain name system) If you provided the main or
secondary server's address as a domain, at least one DNS address must be specified.
