12.13 Presets and Settings Overview
Presets allow access to predetermined parameter settings for a DSP block or other logical group of param-
eters. All settings for a particular DSP functions such as EQ, Compression, or Effects, can be saved as a Preset.
These settings can then be loaded as needed. Presets are saved independently of Show or Mixer Configura-
tion in a dedicated preset folder for each DSP function on the internal computer’s hard drive. A preset can be
created while one show is active, and loaded again into a different show.
The UMX.96 comes with a library of factory presets.
For every screen with a preset (see Section 12.13.1), a load preset and save preset option is available from
that screen’s Edit Menu.
The
Save Preset
dialog shows a single file browser similar to that described in Section 12.12.1.
• Like the Save tab, the top of the list displays a drop down menu for choosing the drive used to save the
data (Local, USB1, USB2, etc.). The list displays folders and files with special icons (folders, shows, configu-
rations, presets).
• Only one item in the list can be selected at a time and it is outlined in yellow.
• Navigate through the file structure using the Up Arrow and the
OPEN
buttons (blue).
• Create new folders with the
New Folder
button (blue).
Below the browser are three buttons,
Save
(red),
Save As
(red) and
Cancel
(blue).
• The
Save
button is lit if an existing preset of the same type is selected in the browser.
• Pressing the
Save
button replaces the existing preset with current state of the screen.
•
Save As
allows the user to enter a new name with the onscreen keyboard and save a new preset.
•
Cancel
cancels saving the preset.
The Load dialog is similar to the save dialog.
• The top of the list displays a drop down menu for choosing the drive used to save the data (Local, USB1,
USB2, etc.). The list displays folders and files with special icons (folders, shows, configurations, presets).
• Only one item in the list can be selected at a time and it is outlined in yellow.
• Navigate through the file structure using the Up Arrow and the
OPEN
buttons (blue).
Below the browser are two buttons,
