INTRODUCTION

2.1 ProtoAir Gateway

The ProtoAir gateway is a high-performance, multi-protocol IIoT gateway that is preconfigured to auto-
d

iscover any of Eaton’s products (hereafter called “device”) connected to the ProtoAir and automatically

configures them for BACnet

MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP or Modbus RTU.

It is not necessary to download any configuration files to support the required applications. The ProtoAir is
pre-loaded with tested profiles/configurations for the supported devices.
