The

SOURCE SELECTOR

switch operates slightly differently in Normal and Redundant

modes:

NOTE 2

In Normal mode, it sets the Preferred Source control to Source 1 or 2, as selected. This
can cause a transfer, if other circumstances allow it.

NOTE 3

In Redundant mode, it causes an immediate transfer to the specified source, if the
target power source is within specification and the load is not already on that source.

MAINTENANCE

light on the ROI panel refers to the

Maintenance Bypass Switch

located next to the Contractor Board (see

Figure 34

). The Maintenance Bypass Switch is

used by service personnel to disable MCSW trip units during maintenance.
