During input, the phone searches your contact data (phone book) for entries that agree with the current state of your input and then
shows these in the viewing area if applicable. If you do not intend to perform a phone book search, ignore these outputs and simply
continue your input.

If the insertion point is behind the last character of the input, the keystroke ends the character input and starts the dialling process for
input or opens the

4.3.4.2 Use contacts (phone book)
As an alternative to the manual input of phone numbers, you can also use your contacts (phone book). To do this, press
the character key that corresponds with the first letter of the subscriber to be called and hold down the key for at least

= 2.0 s. When the key is released, the device switches to the text mode of indirect dialling and lists in the viewing
area all subscribers whose names begin with the selected initial letters. Press the key again to switch to the next initial
letter, or enter a second letter to further narrow the result list. If the remaining search result still includes multiple
contacts, select the subscriber to be called. To do this, use the vertical arrow keys
, to move the highlighting
(inverse display) of the current selection onto the subscriber you were searching for.
