DETERMINATION OF LONGITUDINAL BALANCE
Each part of the helicopter is associated with a mass (weight) expressed in kg and in
moment in relation to the datum point expressed in kg*m. This moment corresponds to the
mass of the part multiplied by the distance from the C.G. of the part in relation to the datum.
Before each flight you must :
- Firstly determine the balance of your Dynali H2S. You should verify that the position of the
C.G. of your Dynali H2S, at the moment of takeoff, is within the fore and aft balance limits.
- You must also make sure that the takeoff weight of your Dynali H2S does not exceed the
authorised Maximum Takeoff Weight of 700 kg.
These two conditions are met if the point defined by the takeoff weight and the position of the
C.G. are within the area for longitudinal balancing (see illustration of longitudinal balance
area).
If either of these conditions is not met, you must cancel the flight. Either plan on takeoff with
a lighter load or with a different spread of the mass in the cabin, or both.
The table below summarises the weights, distance in relation to the datum point and the
moment associated with the elements of the helicopter and its payload.
