LATERAL BALANCING
The Dynali H2S is equipped with dual controls. Except in solo flight when the pilot must be in
the left hand seat, the Dynali H2S can be piloted from either the left or the right hand seat. In
order to guarantee the airworthiness of the aircraft, the left hand side of the helicopter must
always be heavier than the right.
SOLO PILOT MUST BE IN LEFT SEAT
MINIMUM WEIGHT OF SOLO PILOT 60 KG
TWO MAN CREW
THE HEAVIER OF THE TWO MUST BE IN THE LEFT HAND
SEAT
SOLO PILOT
(must be in left hand seat)
Minimum weight of solo pilot : 60 kg
Maximum weight of solo pilot without ballast in right hand seat : 110 kg
110kg on the left = limit of acceptable cyclic movement to the right to maintain operational
manoeuvrability.
Above 110 kg in the left hand seat, add ballast in the right hand seat corresponding to the
surplus weight of the pilot over and above 110 kg
Maximum weight of solo pilot: 135 kg
TWO MAN CREW
Place the heavier person in the left hand seat.
NB : The condition for balance to compensate for the thrust of the tail rotor is 13 kg more on
the left hand seat (**) so that the mast is vertical in hover. However the aircraft remains
completely manoeuvrable but with a list. See chapter 6, paragraph 6.4.
(**) This explains the need for solo pilots to use the left hand seat.
CARRIAGE OF BAGGAGE IN HOLDS
Spread the baggage so that the left hand side of the aircraft remains the heavier.
