3.15.
WARNING LIGHTS
Red lights Low rotor RPM - warning horn 92%
Action : lower the collective and twist the throttle grip through the governor to recover
immediately the lost RPM.
Several solutions are possible :
•
You are at altitude: you have an altitude margin below the helicopter, you can thus
firmly lower the collective and twist the throttle to recover the revs.
•
You are in mountains, close to terrain on short final and you can not lower the
collective on account of the terrain below the helicopter. In this case you must divert
immediately towards the valley while slightly lowering the collective and applying
throttle to recover the rotor revs.
In all events you should not continue the approach if you have a low RPM warning light.
Orange battery charge warning light
The alternator has failed. The electronic ignition of the engine is linked to the battery
and operates independently of the alternator.
Reduce power to avoid the activation of the cooling fans and land safely as soon as
possible.
Orange low fuel level warning light (Low fuel)
This warning lights up when there remains only 10 L of usable fuel. The engine will run
dry after approximately 20 minutes operation at nominal power.
ACTION : YOU MUST LAND AS SOON AS THIS WARNING LIGHTS UP, IN THE
FIRST AVAILABLE FIELD BELOW YOU.
Orange filings detector warning – main transmission box
This warning lamp lights up if metal particles are detected in the main transmission
box.
Action : you should land without undue urgency or precipitation within 5 minutes
Orange filings detector warning – rear transmission box
This warning lamp lights up if metal particles are detected in the rear transmission box
Action : you should land without undue urgency or precipitation within 5 minutes
Red warning indicator for low pressure in the cooling fluid.
This warning is activated if there is a leak of cooling fluid.
Action : you should land without undue urgency or precipitation within 5 minutes
