Trouble Shooting Guide (cont’d)

Suggested Correction:
B. No or Insufficient Air Flow.
1. Air Filter is dirty.
2. Oil Separator is blocked.
3. Intake Valve is faulty.
4. Air leaks in the system.
5. Pressure limits are incorrectly set.
6. Solenoid Valve is open.
7.
Oil level is low.
1. Replace the Air Filter.
2. Replace the Oil Separator.
3. Repair or replace the Intake Valve.
4. Check the Unit and system for air leaks.
5. Adjust the pressure settings.
6. Check the wiring to the Solenoid and replace
as necessary.
7. Check oil level and add as necessary.
C. Unit is overheating.
1.
Ambient temperature is too high.
2.
Blocked air circulation at the Unit.
3.
Heat Exchanger is dirty.
4.
Oil level is too low.
5.
Using wrong type of compressor oil.
6.
Thermo Valve is faulty.
7.
Oil Filter is blocked.
8.
Temperature Sensor is faulty.
9.
Thermostat is faulty.
10. Pressure is too high.
11. Cabinet door/panel is open/off.
1.
Check cooling air circulation.
2.
Check the air circulation in and around the
Unit.
3.
Clean the Heat Exchanger
4.
Add oil as required.
5.
Change to the factory recommended oil.
6.
Check and repair as necessary.
7.
Replace the Oil Filter.
8.
Check the wiring to the Temperature sensor.
Replace the Sensor if necessary.
9.
Replace the Thermostat.
10. Lower the pressure setting.
11. Secure the door/panel to the Unit.
D. Compressor Starts Slowly.
1. Intake Valve not functioning properly.
2. Ambient temperature is too low.
3. Minimum Pressure Valve leaking back to
Air End.
4. Minimum Pressure Valve setting is too high.
5. Using wrong type of oil.
1. Check Intake Valve operation. Repair or
replace as required.
2. Stop and restart once ambient increases.
3. Repair or replace the Minimum Pressure Valve.
4. Adjust Minimum Pressure Valve setting to 65
psi (4.5 bar).
5. Change to factory recommended oil.
