Main tensioner
The main tensioner (2) should be adjusted as little as possible.
The threads’ cross-over point should be in the centre of the ma-
terial. If the thread tension is too strong, crimping and thread
tearing canoccur when working with a thin material.
To set the main tensioner:
1. Adjust the main tensioner 2 so that you attain a consistent
stitch pattern.

Increasing the tension:
turn the adjusting wheel clock-
wise
•
Decrease the tension:
turn the adjusting wheel counter-
clockwise
Supplementary tensioner
The switchable supplementary tensioner (3) is used for quick
changes to the thread tension (for example, when working with
thicker seams).
To set the supplementary tensioner:
1. The supplementary tension (3) should be set lower than the
main tension (2).
