Setting the hook thread tension

Brake spring
The brake spring (1) is responsible for preventing a bobbin overrun
during a machine stop and when the hook thread is being cut.
It cannot be adjusted!
To set the
tension spring
:
1. Adjust the tension spring (3) with the screw (2). Turn until the
required tension force is present.
To
increase
the hook thread tension:
1. Turn the screw (2) clockwise.
To
decrease
the hook thread tension:
1. Turn the screw (2) counter-clockwise.
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp and moving parts!
Puncture or crushing possible.
Switch off the machine before setting the hook
thread tension.
