Fixture Installation
There are three steps involved in installing a fixture.
• Aligning the fixture with the horn,
• Leveling the fixture to provide the necessary support,
and
• Rigidly securing the fixture to the mounting surface.
Fixture Alignment
To safely align the fixture under the horn, use the following
procedure. (Refer to Figure 7-8.)
1. Depress the E-STOP (Abort) switch. This allows the
acoustic stack assembly to be lowered by hand and
prevents the system from accidentally cycling.
2. Turn off the power to the generator to prevent acci-
dental ultrasound operation.
3. Place the fixture, with parts, under the horn.
4. Initially align the two slots in the fixture over two of
the seven mounting holes on the base plate.
5. Install the two hold-down bolts with washers, and
finger tighten.
