Checking the soda lime
The soda lime turns purple from the bottom upwards
when saturated with CO
2
. To monitor CO
2
absorption,
the FiCO
2
value is displayed in "data screen" mode.
An alarm limit of 5 mmHg is set for monitoring CO
2
absorption.
The soda lime must be changed when two-thirds of the
charge has changed colour! The colour may also fade
again due to drying out after prolonged breaks.

Briefly turn the soda lime container anticlockwise and
pull it downwards.

Insert the replacement soda lime container from
below and turn clockwise as far as possible.
●
Gas and machine settings may be cancelled.
●
Remove spent soda lime from the container.
