battery voltage and approximate battery capacity remaining. On this default screen the
“Select” button has no function, to navigate through different menus press the left or right
arrow buttons. When you wish to change a setting press the “select button”, arrows will
appear on the bottom line of the display press the left or right arrow button to change
scroll through different setting options, press the “select” button to change the setting.
Channel:
This menu will display the current channel the video receiver is operating on and will
allow you to change between 1 of the 7 available channels. To change the channel press
“select” then choose the desired channel with the left and right arrow buttons and press
“select”. When changing this operating channel be sure to adjust the channel on the video
transmitter located on your camera mount.
Audio Out:
This menu will display whether the audio output will send a signal to the computer or
display monitor. When set to enabled the base station will send an audio signal to the
computer or display.
Beep Sound:
When enabled the base station will emit a beep each time a button is pushed and for any
errors or warnings that may occur, when disabled the base station will not provide a beep
tone however error messages and warning will still be displayed visually.
Connecting Analog Video Recorders, Monitors, & Glasses
The Draganflyer X8 Base station provides standard composite analog output through
3.5mm stereo jacks on the left side of the panel. Simply plug the composite video cable
from your device to the A/V output jack.
Viewing the Live Video Feed on DraganView Software
Make sure the Base station is connected properly to your laptop and that the power is on,
on the camera. Selecting the video tab on the DraganView software should give you a
half screen of video and a half screen of telemetry. You may also select a full screen of
video using the full screen button on the upper right portion of the live video display. If
video is not present check to make sure your channel selection is proper and that the
proper configuration has been selected. To check or change the configuration go to the
configuration menu found at the upper top left of the page

Creating great video with the Draganflyer X8 is much like creating great video with any
other tool. Every type of shot, be it a boom shot or dolly shot, requires skill and practice.
