2.3. Engine Character
z
DOOSAN ‘s DV11 diesel engine apply the over head valve and the turbocharger,
is the electric control engine of the air cooling type by the cooling fan.
z
The fuel is stored under pressure in the high-pressure accumulator (the "Common
Rail") ready for injection. The injected fuel quantity is defined by the driver, and
the start of injection and injection pressure are calculated by the ECU on the
basis of the stored map. The ECU then triggers the solenoid valve sensor that the
injector (injection unit) at each engine cylinder injects accordingly
.

Oil gallery cooling is used for the
piston of the engine. The design of
the gallery, the design and location
of the oil spray nozzle and the
quantity of oil flowing in the gallery
are critical in order to achieve the
desired temperature reduction. The
cross section shape of the gallery
should be designed to achieve
sufficient oil movement to
maximize cooling efficiency.
