about VCD Play back
(VCD 2.0 only): PBC Function

During play back of a VideoCD with PBC
function a contents menu may appear and
possibly you can call up simple interactive
functions.

During play back you can select functions
like
track
selection,
fast
forward/
backward, pause and a karaoke function
(if supported by the disc).

The PBC function can be run automatically
after the disc is loaded and the logo
appears.
—
Use the
PBC
button to switch these
function on and off.
—
Select the desired tracks by pressing the
numeric buttons - provided PBC functions
are “ON”.

After selection press the ENTER button.
Then the units starts to play back the
desired track.
Discs with JPEG
pictures
You can burn computer graphics or pictures
on CD and let the DVD player show them on
your TV screen. But these graphic files must
be stored in “
JPEG
” format, otherwise they
won’t be recognized.
When you have inserted a CD with jpg-files,
a menu appears, that shows the folders on
the CD. Use the navigation buttons to select
the desired folder, then press the ENTER
button. Now the screen shows the files inside
the folder and in the right column you can
see a preview of the picture.

Use the navigation buttons
to
select the desired file und press the
ENTER
button.
The
picture
will
be
displayed on the screen.

This starts your “modern slide show”
because the unit will change to the next
picture automatically after a few seconds
until all pics have been shown on screen
once.

Press the PAUSE/STEP button to hold the
current picture on screen. Press
the
PLAY
button, to resume the slide show.

Press the SKIP
or
button, to skip
to the previous or next image.
—
Press the STOP
button, to end the
picture show and to return to the folder
menu.
—
Here you can also activate a repeat
function. Press the REPEAT button once,
to repeat the currently shown picture and
thus, have it permanently shown on the
screen. Press the REPEAT button twice,
and the unit repeats all pictures of that
folder. Press this button again, to cancel
the function.
Important note:
When you’ve selected
“REPEAT ONE” and then call up a pic, only
that picture will be displayed constantly.
Then you
cannot skip
using the
/
buttons.
During play back you can type in the number
of the desired image using the numeric
buttons. Instantly play back jumps to the
new picture.
