about CD Play back
During play back of a CD (MP3 as well) the
AUDIO MODE
button lets you choose
various audio modes. Depending on the disc
type inserted usually these are the options:

MONO LEFT: left stereo signal feeds right
and left speakers
—
MONO RIGHT: right stereo signal feeds
right and left speakers
—
MIX MONO: both channels have mono
signal
—
STEREO: normal stereo sound, recom-
mended
When playing a CD the
DIGEST
function
allows an intro scan giving an acoustic
overview. So if you press the button the first
few seconds of all tracks will be played one
after the other. On the screen you read
“SCAN”. When the track you’ve been looking
for is on, just hit the PLAY button to resume
normal play back. That ends the Digest
function.
Random Play back
To play the CD tracks in random order please
press the
RANDOM
button before starting
or during play back. The screen shows
“RANDOM”. Now random play back starts.
When all tracks have been played once, play
back stops. To cancel that mode just press
RANDOM again. The screen shows “OFF”.

about MP3-CD Play
back
When you have inserted a MP3 coded CD,
you see a menu showing the various folders
on
the
CD.
Use
the
navigation
keys
to select the desired folder, then
press the ENTER button. Now the files inside
the folder are displayed.

Use the navigation keys
to select
the desired track, then press the PLAY
button. Now the play back of the selected
track begins.

Press the REPEAT button once, if you want
the current track to be repeated at its end.
Press REPEAT twice if you want the whole
folder to be repeated. Press the REPEAT
button again to cancel this function and to
resume normal play back.

During play back you can type in the
desired track’s number in three-digit
format
using
the
numeric
buttons.
Instantly play back jumps to the new
track.
These buttons activate a search
mode backward/forward. Depending on how
often you press, the play back speeds up to
2-, 4-, 8-, or 16fold speed. Press PLAY button
to resume play back with normal speed.
Press the
or
button, to skip to the
previous or next track.
